Blogging, Business, and What Constitutes a Website

There may, as I've contemplated before, come a time when JY Media needs to consolidate, for the sake of simplicity, everything under one umbrella. But that time is not upon us, as which umbrella would still be the question. And between the personal and this, as I try to define it, micro-business - there is a plethora of music and writings scattered about.

But, if there is to be a blog or site, there is nothing worse than an inactive one, especially in the blog category. Thus, this post. There are some projects ongoing, and the links will be posted, I suppose, in the various places that pertain to JY Media officially. Various options have been considered, decided against, and reconsidered. The problem is one never really knows what is going to work. Is it about constantly updating content on a page in cyberspace? Then, it would seem that blogging would be the best platform, and perhaps blogging without too much of a social media vibe. Or, is it best to have a static website linking to the product, which in this case is the art, as it goes up for sale? Many are inclined to do both, and some do it well.

But what if people are too busy to feed the robots crawling about the right substance to get the right results? What if one is more inclined towards the art rather than the business? These are the questions this very small business project is dealing with.

At any rate, the next Science fiction novella will be finished eventually, and it will happen through a combination of will and disgust. The disgust is because of the rate at which this particular project is being completed. This is what strengthens the will. It is often that way. Isn't it? One day a person gets so disgusted that something important (to them) is left on hold, or in this case not even on hold, as the novella is written, that the will to finally accomplish that one goal or task becomes paramount.

And that is only one example. There are so many songs, and some from at least one other songwriter, ready to be formatted and submitted to Amazon mp3 Store. It just takes that moment when disgust is overcome by will, and the slow turning out of productions becomes the whirlwind of productions submitted in mass quantities not yet seen from the likes of JY Media.
